1. General Guidelines

  • Target Audience: Physicians, researchers, and professionals in the fields of transplant surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, and bioethics.
  • Accepted Languages: English.
  • Character Limit: Maximum of 2,500 characters including spaces (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).
  • Authorship: Limit of up to 10 authors per abstract. The presenting author must be registered for the event by the deadline specified in the timeline.
  • Formatting: Plain text in Arial or Times New Roman, 12 pt font, single line spacing, fully justified text. Do not include figures, tables, graphs, or bibliographic references in the body of the abstract.
  • Modality Selection: During the online submission process, authors must select their preferred presentation format (Oral Presentation or Electronic Poster). However, the final assignment remains at the discretion of the Scientific Committee based on peer review scores.

2. Mandatory Structure for Abstract Submission

The abstract structure varies strictly according to the category of the submitted work:

Category A: Original Scientific Research (Clinical Studies, Experimental Research, or Systematic Reviews)

  • Title: Concise and informative (maximum of 150 characters). Avoid unstandardized abbreviations.
  • Introduction and Objectives: Contextualization of the knowledge gap in the field of uterine transplantation and the rationale for the study.
  • Methods: Study design, target population/sample size, inclusion/exclusion criteria, ethical considerations (institutional ethics committee or IRB approval number), and statistical analysis methods.
  • Results: Clear presentation of quantitative or qualitative data, including measures of effect and statistical significance where applicable (e.g., graft viability, obstetric outcomes, surgical complication rates).
  • Conclusion: Direct response to the stated objectives, strictly grounded in the presented findings.

Category B: Case Report or Case Series

  • Title: Must explicitly identify the clinical condition and state the nature of the work as a case report or case series.
  • Introduction: Brief statement regarding the clinical relevance and rarity of the case (e.g., deceased vs. living donor, novel surgical technique, or management of a rare complication).
  • Case Description: Chronological account of donor and recipient profiles, surgical/immunosuppressive protocols, postoperative course, obstetric outcomes (if applicable), and complications. Explicit statement of informed consent obtained from the patient is mandatory.
  • Discussion and Conclusion: Highlight key clinical insights and the specific contribution of the case to the uterine transplantation literature.

Note: Indicating a preference does not guarantee final placement. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reassign accepted abstracts to either Oral Presentation or E-Poster based on overall review scoring and session availability.

  • Ethical Compliance: Submissions involving human or animal subjects that omit Institutional Review Board (IRB) / Ethics Committee approval or patient informed consent will be subject to summary rejection.
  • Conflict of Interest: All authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
